Men are not known to be as big of shop-o-holics as women are. Their wardrobes are usually half the size. But no matter how many clothes you own guys, there are five basic items that need to be hanging in your closet.

1. Blazer

Every man needs at least one nice blazer. Try getting a universal color like black or tan. That way it can be worn with several things. A blazer can be worn with dress pants for a special occasion or with jeans for the casual look.

A pair of good jeans is essential. I’m talking about a pair that fits perfectly, is in good shape and looks good. Sometimes you have to spend a little money to get a pair of jeans like this. Designer jeans tend to fit a little better and look nicer. They also last longer so in the end you will end up getting your money’s worth.

3. Black Shoes

Nice, clean, black leather shoes are a must. You can’t always wear gyms shoes. You have to look nice sometimes. A good pair of black dress shoes can be worn with jeans or casual pants. They are a definite plus to any wardrobe.

4. Tie

Why a tie? Every man should own at least one tie. The tie is a great accessory that is rarely utilized. You can wear it to dress up for a special occasion or you can throw on a pair of jeans and a collared shirt with it and look dapppr.

5. Graphic T-Shirt

Graphic T’s, they’re hot! There are so many looks you can go for with these. Jeans and a t-shirt, keep it slummy. Throw a blazer on and you’ve brought it up a notch. Tuck it in with a big belt and all eyes will be on you. A graphic tee is a great addition.

So there you go, five must haves for every man. The great thing about all five of these items is that they are interchangeable. You can create several outfits just using these things.
